Starch

Starch

(OP)
What would be a good use for a large amount of residual starch in cake form after processing?

RE: Starch

Starch cakes arising from filter pressing can be blended for feeding animals, but concentration limits largely depends on national legislation.

It should be noted that this residual material is sold and traded on the international market, further suggesting its commercial value at least for this application.

I don't know much about their calorific value but it could be interesting to investigate whether they can be economically added to hog fuel or biomass blends.
