Out of memory!!

Out of memory!!

Out of memory!!

(OP)
Hi,
we have just switched to NX4 (running on Pentium 4,1 GB Ram and Windows XP).The problem is that while mirroring a faceted body, system gives error"out of memory".I have tried to increase swap file from 500mb to 2GB.But it didn't work.I tried it on NX3 and it's fine in NX3.If anybody can solve this problem. Thanxs in advance.

RE: Out of memory!!

Increase physical ram to 2GB.
BUT, that may not be the real problem. I have seen UG give an out-of-memory error when opening a simple part on a 2GB machine.
Reboot and try it again.
Try a different model for the mirror and see if it will mirror.
Load a newer build of NX4.

Thanxs Ben! Tomorrow I will give a try.

RE: Out of memory!!

When encountering such problems I suggest to monitor the process with task manager, add coloumns for memory size, peak memory and virtual memory. I think the process is called ugraf, not sure so check which process use most cpu.

It's not always the physical memeory that's the problem.
