Hey guys, does anyone know how to dislodge, as it were, a section view form its parent view? I have a rather awkward view that I need to place elsewhere, not on the like perpendicular to the section line. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Nick

RE: section views

Right-click in view, select alignment, select break alignment.

Ah, obvious and excellent, thanks mate.

RE: section views

If you don't want the view perdendicular to the section line you can also use the "rotate view" command after you break alignment and rotate the section view to any desired angle.

RE: section views

I looked for rotate drawing view the other day. Gave up.

Found it this time. That command is as obvious as it is disquised. hehe. thanks.
