See-Thru fireplaces heat output
See-Thru fireplaces heat output
(OP)
I am doing a design on a house with a 38MBH input Twilight See-thru fireplace to the outside (http://w ww.firepla ces.com/do wnloads/br ochures/HN G_TWILIGHT II_BRO.PDF).
My question is how much of that load should I figure is going through to the inside and how much is going to the outside? Will adding a fan shift the balance of where the heat is going? I am up in Canada design temperature of -10*F
Thanks.

RE: See-Thru fireplaces heat output
Get a cut of the fan option from the purveyor.
A well-designed fan/fireplace system will be 40-50% efficient if you can control combustion air.
