superior slosyn synchronous motor ss25 RC circuit

(OP)
I recently bought a couple of these little motors to drive a small linear slide.  The RC circuit calls for a 500 ohm resistor 5 watt (which is easy to find) and a .75 mfd 330v run capacitor (which is not so easy to find).  What happens if a 1 mfd unit were substituted.  How would it affect the motor?

RE: superior slosyn synchronous motor ss25 RC circuit

They expect the called out values for the motor to provide its rated torque.  Increase or decrease the cap value and the motor will likely produce less torque.  Too much less for your application?  Only you will be able to tell.

You'll have to paste this link because '?'s gets screwed up in here.

Note they seem to sell all sorts of cap values.
