Installing Measuresoft SCADA Pro on a new server

(OP)
For some reason I have been assigned the task of installing and setting up SCADA Pro on a new server. I suppose it's because I am the only one who has taken an interest in learning more about the equipment we use while everyone else seems satisfied with just being able to use it as it is. While you could argue that I'm just plain stupid for putting myself in this position, I was hoping that you could help me out a little.

Installing the software on the server seemed simple enough. It simply followed the installation routine we've all gotten used to with windows xp. However, when I start SCADA Pro, I cannot find the "Devices" menu. Apparently, something's not right here, but the manual isn't very helpful and support is slower than I would like. Do you have any suggestions as to what went wrong and what I should do about it?

The server is not connected to the network yet but will be during next week (hopefully).
