Equivalent Fluid Pressure

Equivalent Fluid Pressure

I am trying to "completely" understand EFP.  I know a density of the material is 120 pcf but than to get the EFP I am uncertain.  I have a geotech report gibeing me the EFP for active and passive but I would like to clarify this concept for my peace of mind

I understand the the active soil pressure is normally assumed to be 30 to 50 pcf.

RE: Equivalent Fluid Pressure

This is extremely basic soil mechanics.  It's not really fair to ask your EFP question on the internet when any introductory soil mechanics book (and the internet) can give you the answer.  You need to make a little effort yourself first.

Actually I have found what I was looking for on a previous post so it must no be to BASIC
Thanks though
