how to resolve sub assemblies from a step conversion

Everytime I convert a step file204 from UG to SW 2005 all the parts in the assembly and sub assembly remain unresolve.  Is there a way to resolve them all at once.  I tried resolving the top level, but it still leaves the rest unresolved.

RE: how to resolve sub assemblies from a step conversion

Is this a large assembly perchance?

If so, go into your Options and change how many parts define Large Assembly Mode, such that they will be resolved upon opening the large assembly file.  You'll have to close your assembly and restart SolidWorks for the new setting to work.

Thanks! It was a large assembly and setting options worked out ok.
