Problem with moving sketch items in SW2006

Problem with moving sketch items in SW2006

(OP)
I ran into a snag today in SW2006.  I can no longer move by dragging sketch components.  I cannot find what toggles this on or off.

Any suggetions?

RE: Problem with moving sketch items in SW2006

I had a problem re-positioning/moving a sketch of our company logo. It’s made up of arcs and straight lines that get all twisted when I move it. I resolved the problem by turning it into a block and found positioning was made easy. You can explode it after positioning or leave it as a bock and edit the block.

Making a block and defining an insertion point seem a long way of doing it.  I used to be able to grab and move entities in the sketch but cant anymore.  I have not found anything on the options menu which has stopped this function.  Can anyone help?

I’m able to move my sketched entities around by selecting all with a window and picking the “move entities icon“ on my sketch toolbar. Are you not seeing this?  or am I misreading your problem.

Be sure "no solve mode" is not turned on.

Thank you Scott

No solve mode was the problem - why isnt there a flag of this or a warning if your trying to move it and this mode is on.
