COPPER AND ALUMINIUM SMELTING

COPPER AND ALUMINIUM SMELTING

(OP)

I would like to build a furnace to melt both Ali and copper .(Maybe 40lbs at a time ),both of which I have on an on going bassis as scrap from used components of refrigeration equipment.any help out there. What pitfalls?

RE: COPPER AND ALUMINIUM SMELTING

What exactly are you attempting to do? Anytime you are working with furnaces and molten metal, safety is a primary concern and unless you know how to handle quantities of molten metal, I would not recommend it.
