Minimum Path Turning Templates

Minimum Path Turning Templates

Minimum Path Turning Templates

(OP)
Hi,
I'm designing a tightly spaced mini storage building site and would like to make sure that, at a minimum, a truck with a trailer could maneuver through the site.  Does anyone know where I could get any cad templates to help with my design.  I have the templates in the Green Book but thought I'd ask to see if there were existing ones before I set out to draft the ones I have.
Thanks for your help.

RE: Minimum Path Turning Templates

I don't know of any cad templates. I have a couple ideas.

There is an add-on to AutoCAD called AutoTurn.

Another idea is to scan your templates as an image, scale them to the correct size/scale and overlay into your CAD drawing. You may have to do a DRAWORDER and send the image behind your parking lot.

Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately, though, my firm uses Microstation and our only scanner broke down this week.  I think I will take my book home and scan the pictures with my scanner and do as you suggested, in the morning to check myself.  Also, I ended up drafting out several of the design vehicles templates if anyone is interested
Thanks again

RE: Minimum Path Turning Templates

I think there is a MicroStation version of AutoTurn, too.

cveg05, I can send you an autocad drawing that shows the methodology.

Thanks for everyone's help, I really appreciate it.  I'm actually suprised that this information isn't more readily available.  I thought that somewhere on the web an agency would have it available to download.
