hi frds

I am working in ABAQUS CAE and i want to use an odb file as an initial condition and i have specified the file in
Step--> initial--> Field

and created a field and included the file by selecting in Field editor dialog box-->distribution--> From results or output dbfile--> and select the file from the location

and when i submitting the job it says

¨The following path is not located: C:/.........    (by specifyin the path of my odb file)

plz tell me a solution wat to do

i want to do in CAE not in inputfile
thx

RE: ODB file in initial condition in CAE

If you typed it in you may have made a mistake. It's better to browse and select the file from the list.

thx corus

i rectified the problem

it was some mismatch of path location as u said

for example

i browse and select from my path C:/Documents and settings
the unix system doesnt accept the space between documents
¨-¨and¨-¨settings

that was the problem

and we shud have the part file .prt with the odbfile in the same folder

thx again
