MPC constraint forces

MPC constraint forces

MPC constraint forces

(OP)
Hello to everybody,

I'm simulating a crack. I'm working with a model using VCCT technique. I've lied two surfaces with a TIE multipoint constraint. I apply a load (MODE I).

The question is:
How can I obtain the constraint force at nodes?

Thanks.

RE: MPC constraint forces

Hi josep

u mean the results or the value of forces at each node ?

RE: MPC constraint forces

You can request NFORC, nodal forces due to element stresses, which are not output by default.

Btw, what's the advantage of using VCCT over J-Integral? (as far as I know the accuracy is not one of them.)

Hi everybody!

Thanks for the answers. I'll try to request NFORC.

I don't know what you mean with using de J-Integral instead of VCCT in the case I'm simulating?

RE: MPC constraint forces

in any case.
