DRAWING - Detail View hatch editing

DRAWING - Detail View hatch editing

DRAWING - Detail View hatch editing

(OP)
I am trying to edit hatch in a detail view of a section view. There doesn't seem to be a way to control this other than editing the hatch in the parent section view. The detail is scaled so what is good for the section is too fine for the detail.

RE: DRAWING - Detail View hatch editing

I think the only way in '04 is to edit the parent view.

Your Detail Views are a smaller scale than your Section Views? If so, ten why make a Detail View?

RE: DRAWING - Detail View hatch editing

To modify the area hatch/fill of a DETAIL VIEW of the SECTION VIEW, zoom in on the detailed view and un-check the "Material Crosshatch" check-box.  Now you can over-ride the scale factor of the hatch.

Actually you have to check a box on the parent view to the detail in 2004. This box automagically scales the detail to maintain the same relative hatch as the parent. This came from a tip on comp.cad.solidworks.

In 2004 there is not individual hatch control on a detail view.
