Dimensioning Datum Targets

Dimensioning Datum Targets

(OP)
Does anyone have any advice on dimensioning datum targets on drawings?  Sometimes I’ll get a few dimensions in and crash and other times I can’t even dimension to them - even with the filter on.  I think SW needs to do some serious work here.

Thanks in Advance

RE: Dimensioning Datum Targets

I've had trouble with this, as well.  What worked best for me was to draw and dimension a point and attach the datum target to the point.  It's been a while, so I forget exactly how this is accomplished.

RE: Dimensioning Datum Targets

I actually draw the point in the part model as a separate sketch, then show the sketch in the drawing. Works pretty good for me.
