Rename Project in PDM Works

Rename Project in PDM Works

(OP)
Is it possible to rename a project in PDM Works (2006 SP4). The project I want to rename is at the top level and has numerous sub projects underneath which I do not want to rename.

RE: Rename Project in PDM Works

Yes but only if you are the Vault Admin.

Just go to the projects area and use the "Copy Project" button on the project you want to rename. Then give it a new name and description. Also make sure to check the box to include sub-projects. After your done you should be able to delete the old project. I have not tested this but I'm sure this will work.

Best Regards,
Jon

Try changing the description first.  If I remember correctly, the description is used in several places that you think of as the name.
