A vessel fabricated in Germany and with most of the information on the drawing written in German language, has the following material info:
" ... Material is 19Mn5 as per DIN 17155 with inspection certificate as per DIN 5004913C  ..."

The above could have typos since the drawing is very old and hard to read. Please suggest where I can find equivalent ASME material designations?

There are equivilants from DIN to ASME on some materials and not on some others due to differences in the chemical make-up of the alloy.  I recommend going back to the manufacturer rather than the tedious process of doing it yourself.

Your 19Mn5 material is equivalent to SA 515 Gr70, see link attached. There's probably a typo in your 5004913C certification and proablably should read 31C. This level of certification is pretty high and requires AI witness of certain activities at the mill.
