Would anyone please provide me with the Fb, Fv and E values for ASTM B-221/429 Aluminum 6061-T6 or similar?  I have Strength of Material books, but, I cannot find those design values.

Thank you ...

RE: Aluminum

We need to know much more. You may contact the Aluminum Association for their specifications and design guide. The allowable depends on the use of the member, the shape of the member, etc.

Be careful if you do any welding, you must reduce the allowable strength due to the heat from welding. The allowable usually is 0.5Fb within one inch of weld.

Lutfi

RE: Aluminum

You need to purchase the appropriate code for aluminum for your area.  All of the information you need should be in it. For the US, that is probably the Aluminum Design Manual.
