I have to design a steel beam which is supporting a concrete slab.That is the top flange is restrained against lateral displacement. Now I have to apply some load on the steel beam through a bracket . Thus there is some torsion is developed in the beam.
There are methods available to design the steel beam for lateral torsional buckling
for bending and torsion ( like the procedure given by SCI - UK).
But when the top flange is restrained, how the section should be considered for
design ?

The simplest solution would be to provide kickers(braces) from the bottom beam flange opposite the bracket load up to the slab. This will resolve the forces to merely axial loads with possibly some local web bending and no torsion.
