Helix with a Bend

Helix with a Bend

Helix with a Bend

(OP)
Good afternoon, I have a helix, to make a spring.  On each end of the helix I have a fully defined radius, to make it look like I bent the spring.  I attached a circle to the first radius, again fully defined, and tried to sweep the entire thing, but it only went as far as the first radius.  Now if this matters, the two radiuses on the ends of the helix were grey in color.  What is wrong with what I am tring to do?  I did use pierce when ever possible.  Any suggestions on how to sweep the entire thing?  Thank you in advance for any assistance.

RE: Helix with a Bend

Can you show a pic? Seems like the "radii" are not touching the helix.

yes you you tell me how.  I used pierce to join themso I think that should take care to that situation.

RE: Helix with a Bend

Did you try to create a composite curve from the end radius curves and the helix?  Then use the composite curve as your sweep path.

That did the trick.  Thanks alot.
