Seismic design of Large Shed Dormer

Seismic design of Large Shed Dormer

(OP)
Hi,
Does anyone out there have a link or reference to a well established residential shed dormer design for high seismic regions?  The shed dormer is ~90% of the roof surface that it sits on and thus significantly reduces the roof diaphram.  I'd like to find a good, practical, well established technique for reinforcing the roof diaphram below.  Any help would be nice, but a reference would be great.
Thanks,
Phil
