KVA (power factor)

(OP)
HI all, I want to find out the KVA of my house. I have a voltage supply of 230 volts and it is protected by a 63amp switched fuse. thaks guys.

RE: KVA (power factor)

Hello dannyleonard

The KVA of a circuit is the volts time the amps divided by 1000. Very simple.

This is not the power factor however. The power factor is the KW/KVA.

Best regards,

RE: KVA (power factor)

When discussing this with someone, you need to be careful to specify if it is kVA of capacity of kVA of running load.

RE: KVA (power factor)

Maximum KVA = 63 x 230 / 1000 = 14.49 KVA
Actual KVA, unknown, insufficient data.
Power factor, unknown, insufficient data.
