Intersection
Intersection
(OP)
example: i'm creating a (part)body by extruding two sketches, and these 2 pads intersect (i can't use limits in that case). is it allowed for them to intersect, to just leave them like that, or in that case i must make one of those extruded elements as a new body, and then use boolean operation->add? or it doesn't matter which way i make it?

RE: Intersection
Your post sort of confused me. The method of each pad in its own partbody and then using the boolean operation of add or assemble which produce the same results is good modeling practice. Especially later when having to modify a complex solid. Additionally, if you want the resulting solid from the 2 profiles, try using the combine function. Select sketch.1 and then sketch.2. This will result in an intersected pad.
Hope this helps.
