Un-attached dimensions

(OP)
I have a part with insert(over)-molded components in it. I have the over-molded components in the part as "imported solids" (using the insert-part command). When I create a drawing, save it and re-open it, all dimensions attached to any of the "imported parts" become un-attached. It is such a pain. Is there an option I have to turn on-off to fix this. Any suggestions will be greatly apprecaited. Thank you.

RE: Un-attached dimensions

If you can, instead of inserting imported solids, try Insert>Component>Existing Part/Assembly.  This way the model features will be preserved in the top level assembly, and your dimensions should import as desired.
