This may be old news but I couldn't find it in the forum.  I read a post that said the Astroid 6000 would have beta SW drivers in May so I fired off an email and here is the (quick!) reply.  I am pretty curious to see how their pseudo camera mode works out.  Anyway looks like I will be waiting till June to update from my Spaceball4000.

Thanks for contacting Spatial Freedom.

The development schedule is for a SolidWorks beta release late May, followed
by a full release in mid June.

At present we are on track, however development can be a fickle business.

We have had full Astroid support in Solid Edge for a few months now and it
is looking good. We have delivered with the Astroid features that are not
available in any other CAD package or controller, mainly the ability to get
inside a design and freely move through it in real time. We are very keen to
deliver this to the SolidWorks community, however this will need to be in a
later release as the SolidWorks API currently does not provide us with the
access that we need.

Please contact me again if you have any additional questions or comments at
this stage.

Regards,
George Walker

Comment: I have heard rumors of Solidworks drivers in the works for the
Astroid for May.  Is this true?  I hope so because I have also heard that it
would be a worthy replacement for my aging SB4000.
