can anybody help in coding of frequency counter using PIC16F877 using MPLAB. frequency is supposed to display on 4 digit 7-segment led.

RE: MPLAB CODE

No this is not for school. Actually this is for the our company and I am an employee. Giving you more details of my project- I am using signal generator to apply different kinds of waveforms(sinusoidal, square)applying to PortC and using PortD as output to display frequency on 4-digit 7-segment LED.
Awaiting for your reply.
thank you

RE: MPLAB CODE

Somebody has done this allready, search around and you should find it. You cant get much in the way of high frequency measureing, somewhere around 80kHz if i remember right.

RE: MPLAB CODE

80 kHz max? Is that all? Yikes. Circa 1980 I did up an audio frequency counter (sampled port) using a ~1 MHz MC6809E and it covered into (at least the low end of) tens of kHz. That's over a quarter century ago.
