Ran a search, but couldn't find this subject- master feature error

Ran a search, but couldn't find this subject- master feature error

(OP)
Running V5 R14 for Ford/TCe.  I have this model, I started it, another designer worked on it for a while, and now I am trying to finish up the work.  I need to get a sym/op of this right hand part, using paste special- result with link.  When I copy the part body, attempt the past special, this error text comes up:
Copy Paste is impossible due to selection problems in master part or in master feature.  The feature naming is incomplete.  Recreate the master feature.

I have looked into eveything I know how to do, to try to remedy this situation, including having Tech Support from Virtual Services here in MI looking into what is the problem.  I have looked through the Paramaterization Analysis window, and don't see any problems show up in the window.  The guy at Virtual and I am at a loss for an explanation.  Anybody here have an idea as to what I can do short of re-modeling the entire part?

RE: Ran a search, but couldn't find this subject- master feature error

begnor - I have had this error, it was a corrupt surface that was used in the creation of a join.  This join split a solid.  As you can tell it was a pain to track.  CATDUA did not clean it (I cant remember if it told me an error).  Does the Part body have a split in it.  If so try to copy that to another part.  I copied the surfaces creating my join to another part, this flagged the surface that was the problem.

Regards,
Derek
