Material selection for hoses in utility stations
Material selection for hoses in utility stations
(OP)
Dear All,
I am going to prepare a general document for material selection of hoses in utility stations. Due to simplicity of operation, just two types of hoses shall be used: one for low pressure steam and another one for plant water/plant air/nitrogen. After reviewing previous projects, observed that operating temperature/pressure for LPS and plant water/plant air/nitrogen are approximately 6barg/165°C , 7barg/50°C respectively. Further more size and length of hose are 3/4" and 15m respectively. With these data, would you please guide me what materials can be used for these two types of fluid category? and please introduce some vendor if it is possible. At the end it is necessary for me to thanks for your kind considerations.

Put together some spec sheets of your requirements, search the net for products that fit your needs, TALK TO THE END USERS ABOUT THEIR REQUIREMENTS IF POSSIBLE, call in some reps and have them bring you complete catalog info and show your their products, put together a list of suitable products and go out for competitive bids or use pre-approved pricing agreements and suppliers.
Good luck,
