Terminal Connection Block
Terminal Connection Block
(OP)
Anyone know where I can find a 9 post terminal block to install in the conduit box of an electric motor. Our customer does not want to make the wire to wire connections with the motor leads. The motors are 9-lead, 3-phase, dual-voltage.
I have seen this terminal block setup used quite often on European motors. The power leads are connected to the block and jumber bars are used to switch between high and low voltage. The block and motor leads are usually potted into the conduit box.
I am looking for the block, jumper bars, wire terminals, etc. Any input would be appreciated.

These are made by Wieland, but they are just one of many examples available. These are divisible, so you can cut off the poles not needed for your app.

Your best bet is probably one of the small rewind shops. They usually have a 'scrap bin' full of leftovers and spare parts from all manner of motors. You might get it as a freebie if your customer already uses their services.

For terminal blocks, look for IEC Motor´s manufacturers in USA, Leeson and Leroy Sommer could help you.
Take acount the motor´s Frame size in order to guarantee the motor´s ampacity. You could use a SIX TERMINAL BLOCK.
