On an Assembly drawing, I am having problems selecting all of the components on the screen when I am trying to put balloons on them. They are showing in the BOM table, but when I click on the part, it clicks "through" it and selects the part behind it.

Why?

Paul.

RE: Balloons

Is the assembly on the drawing in an exploded view? If so, I have worked around the problem by making the view un-exploded. Then I hide parts til I can see the part I want to balloon. Attach the balloon and then set the view back to exploded again and un-hide the parts.

Make sure you place the balloon pointer on the part where you want it when it goes back to the exploded view. If you try to re-position the pointer on the part after it has been exploded again it will become dangling and you will have to go through the process again.

I see this happen on only a few of my assemblies. Hopefully this helps you with the problem you are having.

Best Regards,
Jon

Sorted.
Yes, it is an exploded view.

Having the assembly in the same state as the drawing seems to work.

Thanks for your help guys (and gals if applicable).
