offset feature?

offset feature?

(OP)
I have a disk shapped part with concetric cut rings with incresing diameters (see pic).

My question is how to model the rings (easily).  I did it by offsetting my original sketch.  I think this is  around about way to do it.

Could you cut one ring and offset that feature? To my knowlegde there is no such command.

Thanks.

RE: offset feature?

Something like this, I would have made a sketch of all the grooves and revolve-cut the features.  That way if the spacing or sizes had to change, I would only have to edit one sketch.

RE: offset feature?

If you have to do this type of feature often, you could create a Library Feature which could be dragged, dropped & resized to suit ... much like a "face-static" O-ring groove.
