Ceramic membranes for millipore 47 mm ultrafiltration stirred cell

Ceramic membranes for millipore 47 mm ultrafiltration stirred cell

(OP)
Does anyone know if ceramic membranes are available for the 47 mm ultrafiltration cell produced by millipore ?  I assume they would have to be supplied from another company because I don't think Millipore cells any ceramic products.

RE: Ceramic membranes for millipore 47 mm ultrafiltration stirred cell

You are correct. Millipore don't have any ceramic membrane products. You should try PALL. They do have some ceramic membranes.

Ceramic membranes are usually very expensive and commonly not used in Biotech Industry. Although there are some applications in pharmaceutical industry but PES/Cellulose membrane may be able to handle those applications. If you are doing solvent filtration you can try non-ceramic Hydrophobic membranes.

CUNO might have ceramoc membrane as well.

Hope this helps
