Smart Components & Mates

Smart Components & Mates

(OP)
I have O-Rings that I have turned into smart components.  The Smart Component cuts the O-Ring groove geometry into the plate its is placed on.  When I mate the O-rings in my assembly, I mate a circle sketch thats in the O-Ring part, concentric to holes on the block that seats flat against the O-Ring.  I then activate the Smart Component cut, and everything is peachy.  Now when I move the hole on the block that the O-Ring sketch is mated too, it moves the O-Ring along with it, but the Smart Component cut stays in the same location it was when I activated it.

Any ideas as to why the cut doesnt update its location along with the O-Ring?

Ctrl-Q doesnt work either.  Guess not too many people are using Smart Components, maybe there is a reason!

RE: Smart Components & Mates

Have you checked the option where the Smart Component adjust if the part is moved? Don't know why it's there in the the first palce but might be your issue!? It's a checkbox on the Insert smart feature command
