Problems with V18 Insight Connect

Problems with V18 Insight Connect

(OP)
I have been experiencing a glitch when using View & Markup (What used to be called "Insight Connect" in V17). For some reason, after the V18 Insight Connect install is completed, I get an error message saying that the installation failed. But the Insight Connect program comes up when the button is clicked, and seems to work OK. I just got this message when I wet to run Update 4 for Insight Connect.

When performing the installation for V18, I cleared off all the old versions of SE by using the Control Panel (Add/Remove Programs). This seemed to work fine and SEV18 installed correctly. It was after this I installed Insight Connect.

There is also one little twist I noticed here. After using revision manager to Rename/Move an assembly to our "RELEASED" directory, some par or asm files get their Attributes changed to READ ONLY. This has happened on more than one occasion. And not to all the parts or sub assemblies in an assembly. Just a couple. I'm not sure of this is related or not.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

RE: Problems with V18 Insight Connect

I've also noticed that READ ONLY thing and I don't know where it came from. But I'm sure it's not related to the error message your getting because I didn't have that.
