Tool Box

Tool Box

Tool Box

(OP)
Good Morning,

When I put a tool box component, mainly screws, into an assembly.  It has the wrong description in the BOM.  Where does it pull this info from.  I would like to go and fix it.

Thanks
Chris Tellers

RE: Tool Box

Right click on the toolbox item in the assembly and "Edit Toolbox Definition".

There you need to click the "Edit" button. You can add a custom part number and custom description to the toolbox fastener.

Best Regards,
Jon

There is nothing in that box.  It is empty.

I do not want a description.  I would like to leave it blank.

RE: Tool Box

Try opening the fastener and looking at the custom properties of that fastener. The description you want to remove may be there. If it is there you may have to change the read-only status to write status and make the modification.

Make sure you change the status for that toolbox part back to read-only status after making the change.

Best Regards,
Jon

RE: Tool Box

Out of curiosity, and incase the next person with the same problem searches and finds this thread, what was the solution?
