Weld Symbol Question

Weld Symbol Question

Weld Symbol Question

(OP)
I am working on a joint fit-up - 4" SCH 160 Pipe to 4" SCH 80 pipe cap.  This joint will require a taper per ASME VIII UW-9.  Is there a way to display this taper as part of the joint weld symbol?  What is the common way for a drawing to reflect this?
Thanks, this is my first exposure to unequal thickness butt welds.

RE: Weld Symbol Question

I'm not sure there is a symbol but you could add a note in the tail to reflect the taper boring requirement.

Thank you Codeeng.  We currently have it as a general dwg note.  Makes more sense in the tail.
I wanted to make sure there was no standard convention I was missing.
