Radius or Diameter?

Radius or Diameter?

Radius or Diameter?

(OP)
Is a circle always defined in the system as a radius?  I cretaed a circle in sketcher and then changed the definition to diameter.  However, in the formula dialog it says radius.  Shouldn't that say diameter?

Can a default be set for sketched circle creation so it is always defined as diameter?

Thanks...

RE: Radius or Diameter?

I was told formulas (parameters) always use Radius.

If you want Diameter, add a formula D = R*2

RE: Radius or Diameter?

You can not add a formula to the constraint definition box with the flag set to diameter, switch to radius and add formula from Jack
You can however contextually edit the formula in sketcher, but it will still require Jack's formula

Derek

RE: Radius or Diameter?

I appreciate Derek's generousity in giving me credit for the D=R*2 formula, but I must admit that I am not the author and I do not assume any legal rights or liability as the formula owner. The formula may be freely used by anyone. smile
