Kinematics in Assembly work bench

Kinematics in Assembly work bench

(OP)
I do not have a DMU Kinematic package but I notice in the Assembly workbench there are Kinematic constraint tools. How do I annimate a kinmatic model constructed in this way? When I use the compass my product acts as though the parts are unconstrained and moves only 1 part

RE: Kinematics in Assembly work bench

You can use the MANIPULATION tool to get 'fake' kinematic motions from the Assembly Design workbench by manually dragging the input motion. Make sure you activate the option "with respect to constaints"

You can also 'fake' kinematics with Sketcher if you have a 2D mechanism and are willing to work with stick figures (free-body diagrams) instead of solids
