Why do my circle shape turns to an ellipse shape?

Why do my circle shape turns to an ellipse shape?

Why do my circle shape turns to an ellipse shape?

(OP)
I have a problem using my Unigraphics software using my laptop that is 12.1 widescreen in 1280x800 screen resolution.  When I draw a circle shape, it turns to an ellipse shape.  So when I try opening the file on my desktop computer, the circle is an ellipse.  Please help me to solve this problem, cause this messes up my drawing.

RE: Why do my circle shape turns to an ellipse shape?

Try setting your screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 and see what that does.

The softwrae is setup tp compensate for the non-square proportions, but only when using the rati that you get with 1280 x 1024.

RE: Why do my circle shape turns to an ellipse shape?

if you find the ellipse too frustrating to work with and you wish to keep the screen resolution then you can select Preferences, visualisation, Screen and then Calibrate, drag the sliders to see a circle, this function is not an exact science but it may be satisfactory
