Chiller Selection

Chiller Selection

(OP)
Does anybody in the forum may advise something as article, book or any link for chiller and cooling tower selection for design?

RE: Chiller Selection

There is no one in the office to help you?

Tell us more about the project.

Cooling tower sizing is based on WB temperature.

RE: Chiller Selection

As for books, I like the Handbook of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration by Shan Wang, there are chapters on application and selection of different chiller types as well as towers.
I also recommend checking with the major equipment suppliers concerning selection.  Carrier, Trane, York, have alot of info on their websites related to chillers, as well as application engineers that can assist you.  Marley and BAC have info on cooling towers, and some selection programs.
Magazines like www.hpac.com have info and links to suppliers.
As cme suggested, get someone to assist you.  There are alot of factors that go into the selection of equipment that need consideration.  If you are new to the subject it pays to have someone help guide you thru the process.

RE: Chiller Selection

Well if you know all of your design perameters then it's a matter of doing the proper research which krb suggests "checking with the major equipment suppliers concerning selection"
