'undo' cammand?

'undo' cammand?

(OP)
Hello friends
I would like to analyze some structures by Ansys software.
But the problem is in the case of a wrong execution of a command, I don't know how to return at the command prior to the command mentioned above. I must mention that there is no 'undo' command in this software.

RE: 'undo' cammand?

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to edit in your analysis.  You can always delete loads or BC's by:

Solution->Define Loads->Delete

Or if that doesn't do what you need you can enter the Session Editor in the main menu.  This will bring up a text file showing all commands since your last save or resume of the database.  Just edit the text according to your needs and save to make permanent changes.  See the UNDO command in the documentation.

RE: 'undo' cammand?

Your best bet is to save the database prior to performing any questionable commands.  That way, you can resume the database - effectively undo-ing the command.

RE: 'undo' cammand?

A rather permanent solution would be to start learning to write input files than using GUI. This way you can save disk space as well as time when you need some changes in your model.

RE: 'undo' cammand?

There is an unofficial undo method called the "session editor". This is located at the bottom of the main menu below the "finish" option. It records all actions during the current session, so if you apply a command and wish to return to the state BEFORE the command was issued click on the session editor, remove the commands you wish to undo and press ok. When you press ok ANSYS will then read the session file back in (without the command you removed).
