V4 BATCH PROCESSING

V4 BATCH PROCESSING

V4 BATCH PROCESSING

(OP)
Hi Group
We have around 1200 .model files needing to converted to dxf.
Is it possible to batch process?
Dave

RE: V4 BATCH PROCESSING

Possible - but not without some scripting help.

Are all of your files the same size drawing sheet?

RE: V4 BATCH PROCESSING

It's been a while since I used CATIA v4 but if I remember correctly...

From the command line type in

    catutil -XM -l catdxf

If you have the proper licenses you can batch out all of your CATIA v4 2D models to DXF.  Depending upon what level of CATIA you are on and how your declaration files are set up you will get a DXF in a Autodesk v12 or v13 format.

Hope this helps
Jim

RE: V4 BATCH PROCESSING

I assumed you were talking about batch from Catia V5...  Sometimes I forget this isn't a V5 only forum.

Sorry about that!
