I have a part I open in V5 and the tree opens fine but im getting no picture.. I tried to do a fit all in and nothing in the tree is hidden? Any ideas?

RE: DMU problem

Are the links broken? (are the little gears in the tree cracked, and/or colored gray?)

No all the links are fine.. nothing is broken, hidden or missing.

RE: DMU problem

I don't know the specifics of your case, but sometimes when you import files from a neutral format, the geometry comes in all black, or some other color.  The only thing that I can think of, is that you can do a zoom "fit all in", and try dragging a window around your geometry.

Is this a part, product, or other?  Is it native data or neutral?  What version of Catia?

Open the tree and right clic, 'reframe on' some element...

Also check if Filters are in use...( Tools / Visualization filters...

Ok I fixed it.. I went in my C drive and followed the path to the cat settings folder and renamed it to catsettings.old and that fixed it

RE: DMU problem

Next time it happens, try going to VIEW, GEOMETRY.  Make sure it is checked.

This stupid setting can actually turn your geometry window OFF.  Confuses the @#$% out of people.
