Dynamometer application for a SCIM + drive?

Dynamometer application for a SCIM + drive?

Dynamometer application for a SCIM + drive?

(OP)
I'm posting this as a link to a thread in the Fluid Power forum. A member is considering using a hydraulic pump as a means of loading an engine for a dyno rig - I'm pretty sure he hasn't even thought about using a SCIM with a drive regenerating into the utility supply. I'm sure a few of the drives applications guys will have seen this type of thing before - I saw one using a Control Techniques Unidrive which was quite impressive, but I'm not in a position to help him much more than suggest the method.  I'm sure he would appreciate any assistance.
