Which Service Pack to install with 2006?

Which Service Pack to install with 2006?

(OP)
We are about to upgrade from 2004 to 2006. Due to our installation process we would like to install a service pack at the same time.  Which SP has been the least problematic for 2006? Since installing SP's after the fact is not viable we would need to be set on one that will not cause problems.

Thanks

SW2004 SP0

RE: Which Service Pack to install with 2006?

Don't upgrade your SW04 to SW06. Do a new isntall of SW06 after you uninstall and clean out the registry - SEE FAQ for details on this process.

I think SP3.4 was pretty good...SP4 just came out so I have idea how good or bad it is... but so far it's working very well for me.

RE: Which Service Pack to install with 2006?

I had some problems with SW crashing my computer when working with a big file and using SP1.  Now I have SP4 and it is still slow, but has not crashed yet.

RE: Which Service Pack to install with 2006?

I'm on SP 4.0 and reliability/stability seems better than SP 3.4.

Thanks for the responses.
I will make note that a clean install and registry clean up should be done.
