Is it possible to build a part in V5 but erase the history so just the model is there. So no one knows how it was built?

RE: Is it possible to

Yes. Take your source part and copy the top level part body. Next open a new part and then 'Paste Special as Result' and you should be left with a dumb solid of the original part within the new parts Main Body. This will have no history - but you can still take measurements from this new part.

Great thank you very much

RE: Is it possible to

Slaen - if you are in version 15 or 16 and you have an assembly, go to Tools-->Generate CATPart from Product.  This will take your assembly and build 1 part file with "dumb" solids.

Derek
