Adding Fasteners to an Assembly

Adding Fasteners to an Assembly

Adding Fasteners to an Assembly

(OP)
Dear Folks;

In Inventor 10 can I insert 1 fastener and have all the other instances show up in the bill of material without showing the instances in the model.

If I have 20 or 30 identical fasteners, I would like to balloon the first one but not have the remaining fasteners show up in the model since this just creates a lot of extra unnecessary linework that makes the drawing more difficult to read.

Naturally the proper quantity has to show up in the BOM though. I remember reading in the Inventor help that this was possible but for the life of me I cant find where that information is now.

Best Regards

RE: Adding Fasteners to an Assembly

1.You can turn OFF vizibility for those parts whitch you don't want to show in a dwg.
2. You can place parts far from your assembly. Remember, you show assembly, in a drawing, thru a window.
