Heat pump Modelling in HAP

Heat pump Modelling in HAP

Heat pump Modelling in HAP

(OP)
Hi all,

Not necessarily looking for the answers here, but does anyone participate in a forum for Carrier's HAP software? I've got some fairly specific questions relating to modelling WSHP and GSHP.

Or if anyone considers themselves a HAP guru I'd appreciate any tips you might have for modelling the above systems.

RE: Heat pump Modelling in HAP

You can set up the system as a terminal heat pump system.  Input your equipment information on the equipment tab.  For WSHP provide cooling tower and boiler information for the loop. If you want to model a GSHP set your loop temperatures up to mimic the ground temperature year round and set up special meters for the boiler and cooling tower such that they do not affect your energy consumption.

That might work.  I haven't tried the heat pump loop in HAP for a geoexchange project yet.
