MOSA mounted directly on SF6 breakers

MOSA mounted directly on SF6 breakers

MOSA mounted directly on SF6 breakers

(OP)
Description :
SF6 breakers are directly mounted with MOSA (station class)on the line side. The arrester neutrals are connected to the interrupter end plate (as ground). There is a gasketed joint and quite a few metallic joints before the actual ground. (the equipment is grounded and arrester is connected to the equipment without seperate grounding)

Concern:
High impedence in the MOSA grounding circuit. Could be disasterous @ Surge frequencies causing MOSA to not function properly etc. Also could cause problems when MOSA is conducting (voltage due to assembly inductance @ currrent Rate of rise etc.)

Your thoughts on - Is seperate ground (which is easy enough to install) better compared to the existing setup or my concerns are invalid?

Thanks in advance
