Solidworks Animator - Is it possible to add time in an amimation?

Solidworks Animator - Is it possible to add time in an amimation?

Solidworks Animator - Is it possible to add time in an amimation?

(OP)
Once you've created an animation in an assembly i.e for example a walkthrough of a machinery factory. You find that you want to add a new step or a time pause into the animation. You can add a new point into the animation but it doesn't move all the other points along by the time you've added in. So basically it means that once you created an animation you can't add time into it without deleting whats after it and putting them in again. If anyone knows different please let me know?

Thanks

Sure, you can drag the other points and move them out of the way by the amount of time you need to insert.  You're talking about 2006, right?  It's quite flexible.

Yes I understand you can drag each point manually to add in time, but is there a way to add in a new point and automatically move all the points after it along? 2006 sp3.4

Thanks

woolly,

What you will need to to is grab all the points after it by group selecting them. I select them by holding the Ctrl key. Once all are selected keep holding the Ctrl key and drag them for the space of time you need.

There is no automatic way of inserting a space of time that I know of. If you find a better way let me know.

Jon

I can't remember, but you may be able to select all those points by sweeping over them with the mouse (left-button clicked).  Otherwise, it's the tedious selection point-by-point.
